James Patrick Crotty

James Patrick Crotty, age 85 years, of East Amwell Township, NJ, died on Tuesday, March 15, 2011, in the Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township, NJ.

Born in Bayonne, NJ, August 14, 1925, he was the son of the late James and Ida Chambers Crotty. He had formerly resided in Roselle Park, NJ.

He was a United States Army veteran of World War II.

He was a graduate of Xavier HS, St. Peter's College and received his Masters in Economics from NYU. He was former Vice-President of City Federal Savings and after retirement was a Librarian at the Ringoes, NJ library.

Surviving are his wife of fifty years, Vera Kilmurray Crotty; a son and daughter-in-law, James Crotty and Victoria Hartke of Rockville, MD; a granddaughter Ainsley Hartke-Crotty; many good friends and a loving extended family.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday at 10 AM in St. Magdalen Church, 105 Mine Street, Flemington, NJ. Entombment will be in St. Magdalen Mausoleum. Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8 PM in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ.
