Jane Pickell

Jane Pickell, age 65 years, of Farmville, VA, formerly of Flemington, NJ, died on February 13, 2006, at her home.

Born in Wilmington, NC, August 6, 1940, she was the daughter of the late Jarvis and Flora Johnson.

Mrs. Pickell retired in 1997 from the Hunterdon County Board of Social Services, after twenty-five years of service.

She is survived by her husband of twenty-nine years, John "Jack" Pickell; a daughter, Tracey R. Scott, of Flemington, NJ; her adoptive parents, David K. and Irma Miller, of Wilmington, NC; two sisters, Pearl Hobbs, and husband, Tony, of Brooksville, FL, and Doris Strickland, of Hampstead, NC; two brothers, Cecil Johnson, and his wife, Lucille, of Hampstead, NC, and Vernon Dunham of Hagerstown, MD; a sister-in-law, Lynida Johnson, of Lehighton, PA; four brothers-in-law; William S. Pickell, and wife, Cindy, of Branchville, NJ, Robert F. Pickell, and wife, Connie, of Raritan Township, NJ, Charles Olenick, of Skillman, NJ, and Paul Olenick, and wife, Cheryl, of High Bridge, NJ; a step-daughter, Cheryl Ann Stabile, of Raritan, NJ; two step-grandchildren, Brie-Ann Stabile, and James Stabile III; and several nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, March 3, 2006 at 1 PM in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will be private in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Flemington, NJ. Calling hours will be held on Friday from 11 AM to 1 PM in the funeral home.
