Janet M. Kerr

Janet M. Kerr, age 87 years, of Raritan Township, NJ, died Tuesday, August 11, 2015, in Morristown Memorial Hospital, Morristown, NJ. Born in Newark, NJ, July 21, 1928, daughter of the late George and Elsie Sanford Eckstein, she had formerly resided in Kenilworth, NJ, and had resided in the Flemington area since 1965. Janet was active for many years with the Girl Scouts and was a member of the Amwell Church of the Brethren, Delaware Township, NJ. Her husband, Harold Kerr, died in 1995 and her daughters, Elizabeth Mantz and Jane Angelo, both died this year. Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Nicholas Hamm of Raritan Township, NJ; a son-in-law, James Mantz of Phillipsburg, NJ; five grandchildren, Jennifer Bowlby and her husband, Gregory Bowlby, Amy Mercado and her husband, Joseph Mercado III, Michael Mantz, Kevin Mantz, and David Angelo; and four great grandchildren, Abigail Bowlby, Christopher Bowlby, Amelia Angelo and Chole Angelo. Memorial services will be held Monday, August 17, 2015, at 6:00 PM in the Amwell Church of the Brethren, 40 Sandbrook-Headquarters Road, Delaware Township, NJ. Interment will be private in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Flemington, NJ, under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ.
