Janet P. Miller

Janet P. Miller, age 99 years, of Rochester, NY, formerly of Flemington, NJ, died Sunday, January 24, 2021, in Rochester, NY. Janet grew up in the Plainfield/Westfield, NJ area, then resided in Cranford, NJ and later in Flemington, NJ, Cape Cod, MA, Lakewood, NJ and Rochester, NY. Janet enjoyed raising goats, gardening and quilting as well as walks along the ocean. Janet graduated from Douglass College with a degree in library science. She worked at AT&T/Western Electric before employment at the Hunterdon County Library and later at the Flemington Public Library for several years until retiring. Her husband, Harry A. Miller, whom she married October 1, 1945, died in 1996. She was also pre-deceased by her parents, James Ferris Pearsall and Antoinette Thompson Pearsall and her brother, James Ferris Pearsall, Jr. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Bruce and Susan (Buchanan) Miller; a daughter and son-in-law, Patricia and (Barry) Brown; four grandchildren, Megan, Stacy, Geneva and James and five great grandchildren, Max, Claire, Gwenyth, Ella and Steven. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery, Westfield, NJ, under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ.
