Janice Irene Mahn

Born July 2, 1947, in the Bronx, NY, Janice passed, with family by her side, on October 20th, 2009 in the Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township, NJ.

Janice grew up on Long Island, NY, and in Old Bridge, NJ. She graduated from Concordia College in Bronxville, NY, and married her college sweetheart, Ed. They were married for 41 years.

She worked at General Dynamics in Rockefeller Center, NY, and later at State Farm Insurance in Flemington. She was mother to Sharon I. Mahn, Esq, of NYC, Susan C. Komorowski, of Clinton, NJ and Amy V. Mahn of Washington, DC. She was a doting Nana to her grandchildren, Evan Edward and Ava Marlene Komorowski, and mother-in-law to David Komorowski of Clinton.

Janice was an active volunteer at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Flemington, NJ.

Janice also leaves behind her sister, Cheryl Dethlefsen of Illinois, brothers Tim and Howard Newton, both of New York State, and will be lovingly remembered by her family and friends.

A Memorial Service will be held Friday at 10:00 a.m. in St. Paul Lutheran Church, 201 Highway 31, Flemington, NJ under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will be private in Daleville Cemetery, Daleville, VA. Calling hours will be Thursday from 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 p.m. in the Funeral Home.
