Jean C. Freund

Jean C. Freund, age 101 years, of Clover Hill, NJ, died Wednesday, September 20, 2017, at her home.

A lifelong resident of Clover Hill, she was born June 20, 1916, and was the daughter of the late John Fenwick, Sr. and Alice Packer Fenwick.

Jean was formerly employed by Neshanic Printing, Neshanic, NJ.

An avid quilter, she was a lifelong member of the Clover Hill Reformed Church where she was a former Sunday School teacher; a former church choir member and a member of its' Women’s Guild. Jean was a 1933 graduate of Flemington High School.

Her husband, Irvin Freund, died in 1998, a son, Raymond Freund, died in 1981 and she was pre-deceased by her four brothers, Wilbur Fenwick, John Fenwick, Jr., Raymond Fenwick and George Fenwick and her three sisters, Eleanor Docherty, Ruth Lane and Gladys O'Brien.

Jean is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Janet Freund and Boots Jakubiw of Clover Hill, NJ and Susan and Ted Gaskins of Las Cruces, N, Mex.; two grandchildren, Matthew and Ryan Gaskins; and four great grandchildren, Charlei, Maxtyn, Myles and Axel.

Funeral services will be held Monday, September 25, 2017, at 3:00 PM in Clover Hill Reformed Church, Amwell Road, Clover Hill, NJ. Interment will follow in Clover Hill Cemetery under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. There will be no calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made to Clover Hill Reformed Church, 890 Amwell Road, Hillsborough, NJ 08844.
