Jean F. Scott

Jean F. Scott, of Hillsborough Township NJ, age 78 years, died Tuesday, February 28, 2017 at the Hunterdon Care Center in Raritan Township NJ. Born November 7, 1938, in Newark NJ, Jean was the daughter of the late Rolland and Cathryn (Hall) Hill. Jean was raised in Maplewood, NJ and has lived in Hillsborough, NJ since 1964. She was a homemaker. She enjoyed camping, cross country skiing, canoeing, traveling (both state side and abroad), gardening, cooking, and preserving garden crops. Other hobbies were sewing, cross-stitch, knitting, a variety of crafts and spending time with her beloved grandchildren. Surviving are her husband of 57 years, George W. Scott; brothers, John and Wayne; five children: Randall, Robin, Richard, Ryan and Kevin; and eight grandchildren: Aleksandr, Tyler, Cayla, Alexis, Brandon, Jordan, Drew and Kai. She was active in Cub Scouts. Friends and family will be gathering on Thursday, March 9, 2017 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington NJ. There will also be a memorial gathering on Friday, March 10, 2017 from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Calvary Episcopal Church, 44 Broad Street, Flemington NJ. A memorial service officiated by the Rev. Mother Anne Holt, will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, March 11, 2017, at Calvary Episcopal Church. Interment of cremated remains in the Memorial Garden at the church will immediately follow.
