Jean S. Hunt, beloved mother, grandmother, and lifelong community member, passed away peacefully in her hometown of Flemington, NJ, on January 4, 2025, just days shy of her 103rd birthday. Jean was born on January 7, 1922, to the late Asher R. Stryker and Elizabeth (Barras) Stryker. She lived a life marked by love, devotion, and service to her family and community.

She graduated from the Flemington Choir School in 1938 and the Flemington High School in 1939. Throughout her life she enjoyed baking and trying new recipes, knitting, writing letters, playing cribbage, crafting, RV camping, and was an avid fan of the Philadelphia Phillies.
Jean married her late husband, Harry Hunt Jr., in 1942 during World War II, creating a loving union that would last until his passing. Together, they built a family in the house she was born in and remained in until her death.
