Jean J. Columbo

Jean J. Columbo age 94 years, of Flemington, NJ, died on Thursday, April 10, 2014 at her home.

Born in Newark, NJ, October 20, 1919, daughter of the late Nicola and Ann Dauria Ciccone, she had resided in the area for the past four years, having formerly lived many years in Toms River and Newark, NJ.

Jean was retired from the Newark, NJ Educational System where she worked as a secretary.

Her husband, Joseph A. Columbo, died in 2005.

Surviving are three sons, Bill and wife, Ann Columbo of Little Falls, NJ, Nick and wife, Mariluz Columbo of Newark, NJ and Mike Columbo of Kingwood Township, NJ; two sisters, Rose and Ida Ciccone, both of Newark, NJ; six grandchildren, Jaime, Matthew, Jessica, Joseph, Michael and Brian; two great grandchildren, Will and Natalia Hope; and two additional great grandchildren who are expected to be born at any moment.

Funeral Services will take place Wednesday, April 16, 2014 at 7:30 p.m. in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will be private in Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown, NJ. Visitation will be Wednesday from 4:00-7:30 p.m. in the funeral home.
