Jean L. Breen, age 87 years, of Raritan Township, NJ, died on Monday, March 14, 2011 in Southwest Vermont Medical Center, Bennington, VT.
Born in Clydebank, Scotland, December 9, 1923, daughter of the late John and Mary Morton Ferguson, she had lived in Raritan Township for the past twenty-eight years, having formerly lived in Clover Hill, NJ for twelve years.
Her home in Clydebank, Scotland, was bombed and destroyed in a German Air Raid seventy years ago on March 14, 1941.
A former product tester for Union Carbide, Piscataway, NJ, she was the widow of Thomas Breen who died in 1993.
Surviving are a son, and daughter-in-law, John and Lorraine Breen of North Bennington, VT; a grandson, David Breen of Flemington, NJ; a sister, Rena Davidson of Sidney, Australia; four sisters-in-law, Elizabeth Ferguson of Sydney, Australia, Elizabeth Montgomery of Philadelphia, PA, Mary Gallagher in Scotland and Ella Trathen in England; two brothers-in-law, Donald Soutar of Sidney, Australia and Adam Hepburn of Hillsborough, NJ; a nephew and niece, Donald and Karen Hepburn of Ringoes, NJ as well as many beloved cousins, nieces and nephews around the world.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday at 2:00 p.m. in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ.
