Jeanne E. Blust

Jeanne E. Blust age 67 years, of Jeffersonville, Indiana died December 24, 2010, at Norton Hospital, Louisville, KY.

Born in Somerville, NJ, daughter of the late Vincent M. and Ellen Adams Blust. She was a 1961 graduate of Hunterdon Central High School and the Elizabeth General Hospital School of Nursing.

She received her B.S. degree from Marymount College in New York City, NY and then earned her MBA from Webster University. Jeanne then worked in the nursing field for forty five years including time at Mt. Sinai Hospital, NYC, were she was a member of the first organ transplant team. She enjoyed raising and showing Chinese Pugs and serving as a dog show judge in her spare time.

She is survived by a sister Joan B. Henderson of Jerffersonville, IN; a niece, Dr. Heather Henderson-Galligan and her husband Edward of Jeffersonville; a nephew, Maj. Ian Henderson and his wife Courtney of Louisville, KY; four grand nieces Olivia Galligan, Madeline Galligan, Abigail Galligan and Aran Henderson and a grand nephew, Kellan Henderson.

Private graveside services in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Flemington, NJ, are under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. A memorial service will be held at a later date at St. Luke's United Church of Christ in Jeffersonville, IN.
