Jeannette Edith Simpson, age 92 years, of Raritan Township, NJ, died on Wednesday, October 15, 2008 in Independence Manor, Raritan Township, NJ.
Born in Bayonne, NJ, September 30, 1916, she was the daughter of the late Arthur Blake and Martha Fudge Simpson. She had resided in Roselle Park, NJ, for most of her life.
She was a graduate of Douglass College (now Rutgers University) and received her M.B.A. from New York University. She was employed by Morgan Guaranty Trust Company, New York City, retiring in 1975. She was a life member of the American Association of University Women.
She was a member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church and the Vestry Altar Guild. She was a certified braillist and transcribed text books for a number of years for the New Jersey Commission for the Blind. She was a volunteer at Children's Specialized Hospital for over twenty-five years.
She is survived by several cousins.
Funeral arrangements and interment will be private under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ.
