Jeannette M. Fritsche

Jeannette M. Fritsche, age 88 years, of Clinton Township, NJ, died on Wednesday, May 30, 2018 in the Hunterdon Care Center, Raritan Township, NJ. Born in Bayonne, NJ, October 29, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Wilfred and Margaret Nerges Croteau. She had resided in Hunterdon County since 1964. Jeannette formerly owned and operated the Western Auto, Flemington, NJ, then became the Executive Director of the Hunterdon County Red Cross, retiring in 2000. Jeannette was a Communicant of Immaculate Conception Church, Annandale, NJ, and a member of the Altar and Rosary Society. She was a member and Past President of the Hunterdon County Soroptimist Club; and a member of the Chrysanthemum Club of New Jersey. She was predeceased by her first husband, George Andersen, in 1973, and her second husband, Paul Fritsche, in 2006, as well as two daughters: Gail Andersen in 1956 and Patricia Andersen in 1963. Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Mary Ellen and Gary Fletcher, of Hamilton, NJ; a son, Michael Andersen, of Lake Worth, FL; her sister, Elizabeth Sowden, of Merritt Island, FL; four grandchildren: Lauren Andersen, Michael Fletcher, Justin Fletcher, and Gary Fletcher, Jr.; five great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, June 4, 2018 at 10 AM in Immaculate Conception Church, 316 Old Allerton Road, Annandale, NJ. Burial will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Flemington, NJ. Calling hours will be held on Sunday, June 3, 2018 from 2-4 PM in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ.
