Jeffrey A. Gibb

Jeffrey A. Gibb, age 73 years, of Clinton Township, NJ, passed away on Tuesday, March 26, 2024, at his residence, with his wife by his side.

Born in Newark, NJ, February 14, 1951, he was the son of Margaret (Collver) Durham and the late George Y. Gibb, Jr. He had formerly resided in Somerset County, NJ for most of his life, before moving to Hunterdon County, NJ about thirty years ago.

After graduating from Vo-Tec School, Jeff was a Township of Green Brook, NJ public works department employee for nearly forty years. He retired in 2006 after thirty-nine years on the job.

Jeff loved the outdoors, where he enjoyed turkey and deer hunting and fishing locally. Additionally, Jeff had a mechanical mind and could weld and fix anything, including trucks and tractors. He also loved the NASCAR Truck Series and RVing across the country to New Mexico. He also spent time touring local paranormal venues throughout the county and during his down time he liked watching several shows on the History Channel.

His dry sense of humor and funny one-liners will also certainly be missed. In fact, he was so good at telling a joke, “You couldn’t tell if it was a true story or a joke until the very end.” Above all, he will be remembered as a generous and caring man to those he loved, especially his wife Jane.

He was predeceased by his brother, the late Gary Gibb, who died in 2008.

Surviving, in addition to his mother, are his wife, Jane Kiceniuk of Annandale, NJ, whom he had been together with since 1998; his brother and sister-in-law, George and Sandra Gibb of Palatka, FL; his niece and her husband, Jessica and Robert Trevithick of Milford, NJ and niece, Carolyn Gibb; as well as his great-niece, Emilie Trevithick.
