Jesse James Denton, Jr., age 95 years, of Ringoes, NJ, died on Tuesday, February 11, 2014, at his home.
Born in Dumont, NJ, February 2, 1919, he was the son of the late Jesse and Ann Fisher Denton.
He was a United States Army veteran of World War II.
He was a member and former President and Chaplain of the Amwell Valley Fire Company, Ringoes, NJ; a longtime member of the Calvary Church of Amwell; and an avid bowler.
Surviving are his wife of seventy-two years, Mabel Violet Dani Denton; a son, Jesse James Denton III of Egg Harbor Township, NJ; and a sister, Doris Zimmer, of Old Tappan, NJ.
Memorial services will be held on Friday, February 21, 2014 at 11 AM in the Calvary Church of Amwell (OPC), 24 US Highway 202, Ringoes, NJ. Interment will be private in Amwell Ridge Cemetery, Larison's Corner, NJ. Calling hours will be held on Friday, February 21, 2014 from 9-11 AM in the church.
