Jessica L. Hill

Jessica L. Hill, age 21 years, died Sunday, March 11, 2018 in Readington Township NJ. She lived in the Hunterdon County area most of her life. Born July 3, 1996, in New Brunswick NJ, Jessica was the daughter of James Hill and Elyse (Dobos) Hill. She was a graduate of Hudson Catholic High School with the Class of 2014. Playing shortstop and 3rd base for the softball teams Amwell Attitude, NJ Pride, and for Hudson Catholic were many of the highlights of Jessica’s life. She also held many school track and field records while competing in sprinting and the hurdles for Hudson Catholic. Jessica enjoyed listening to many types of music, her eclectic tastes were shared with many, including a love of the music of the artist Pink with her sister, Julianna. She took the time to privately compose words of poetry at an early age and had a talent for cooking which she loved to do with her mom. Jess had talents with a camera lens, taking many photos of the world around her and the many people in her life. She was a warm, caring, colorful person, always making time for anyone who needed it. Jessica had an amazing ability to radiate love in her own vibrant way. She had a love for all creatures, great and small, and would go out of her way to help when someone or something needed a special touch. Her family and friends will miss her beauty every day. Jessica is survived by her father and step-mother, James and Kitt Hill of Rutherford NJ, her mother, Elyse Hill of Lebanon NJ, her sister, Julianna Hill of Angels Camp CA, her brother, Liam Hill, her grandmother, Evelyn Dobos of Parlin NJ, her uncle, John Dobos of Somerset NJ, her uncle and aunt, Rick and Patty Hill of Hopatcong NJ, as well as her niece, Alice and nephew, Jack. Memorial service will be at 8:00 pm on Friday, March 16, 2018 at Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington NJ. Cremation will be private. Calling hours will be from 5:00 pm until the time of service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Jessica Hill Memorial Softball Scholarship are greatly appreciated.
