Jessie F. Bryant

Jessie F. Bryant, age 85 years, of Raritan Township, NJ, died on Saturday, October 22, 2005 at the Hunterdon Care Center, Raritan Township, NJ where she resided.

Born in Washington, D.C., August 3, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Rudolph and Bessie Herstein Becker.

A longtime resident of Philadelphia, PA, Ms. Bryant attended Wilson's Teachers College, Washington, D.C. and then went on to attain her Master's Degree in Education from Antioch in Philadelphia, PA. She was a Guidance Counselor for many years at Strawberry Mansion High School, Philadelphia, PA.

She was a member of the National Organization of Women and also a member of the Philadelphia Federation of Teachers.

Surviving are three sons, David Bryant, ESQ., of Albany, NY, Kendall Bryant, Ph.D., of Potomac, MD and Manmohan Bryant, M.D., of Ringoes, NJ; two brothers, Joseph Becker, Ph.D., of Seattle, WA and Brian Becker of Chatham, NJ; a sister, Thelma Bertin of Seattle, WA; and three grandchildren, Erin Bryant, currently attending St. Mary's College, MD, Vaughn Bryant of Potomac, MD and Adrian Bryant of Albany, NY.

A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, NOVEMBER 5, 2005 at 3 p.m. in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will be private.
