Jesus P. Velasquez

Jesus P. Velasquez, age 70 years, of Raritan Township, NJ died on Tuesday, August 3, 2004 at Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township, NJ.

Born in Manila, Philippines, October 3, 1933 to the late Inocencio and Victorina Pasco Velasquez, he emigrated to the United States with his family in 1974. He lived in Queens, NY, then Basking Ridge, NJ for seven years, before moving to Raritan Township last year.

Mr. Velasquez was a Certified Public Accountant with Comstock Electrical Company, NY for sixteen years, retiring in 1991.

He was a communicant of St. Magdalen Church, Flemington, NJ, and also a member of its Philippine-American Society.

Surviving are his wife of forty-two years, Prima Lirio Velasquez; two sons and daughters-in-law, Jaime L. and Paz Velasquez of Bethlehem, PA and Jouel L. and Karen Velasquez of Basking Ridge, NJ; one daughter and son-in-law, Annie V. and Tony Ortiz of Hackettstown, NJ; three grandsons; four brothers; and three sisters.

A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. in St. Magdalen Church, 105 Mine Street, Flemington, NJ. Cremation will follow at Ewing Crematory, Ewing Township, NJ. Entombment will take place at St. Magdalen Mausoleum at a later date.
