Joan A. Braun

Joan A. Braun, age 86 years, of Raritan Township, NJ, formerly of Emerson, NJ and Ocean City, NJ, died on Saturday, August 11, 2018 in Independence Manor, Raritan Township, NJ. Born in Brooklyn, NY on July 23, 1932, she was the daughter of the late George and Elizabeth Gill Mione. Mrs. Braun was a homemaker and longtime Communicant of Saint Magdalen Church, Flemington, NJ with special devotion to the Carmelite Monastery. She was predeceased by her husband, Herbert A. Braun, who died in 2010. She is lovingly remembered by her sons, Richard (Lois) Braun, of Hawthorne, NJ, Ray (Becca) Braun, of Doylestown, PA, Paul (Laurie) Braun, of Freehold, NJ, and George (Rosario) Braun, of Sussex, NJ, and her daughter, Barbara Braun, of Hillsborough, NJ. She is fondly remembered by her 13 grandchildren, Kevin (Carolina), David (Noelle) and Chris Braun, Amy (Devin), Sarah (Candace), Meghan, and Katie Braun, Kyle (Lauryn), and Colton Braun, Jimmy (Katie) Braun, Jaime, Tyler, and Dylan Stankowitz. Special thanks to Independence Manor, Hunterdon Hospice, and Accessible Home Health Care for the wonderful care they gave Joan. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, August 17, 2018 at 11AM in Saint Magdalen Church, 105 Mine Street, Flemington, NJ. Burial will follow in Saint Magdalen Cemetery, 94 North Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, August 16, 2018 from 7-9PM in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ.
