Joan E. Amerman, age 78 years, of Neshanic Station, NJ, died on Wednesday, October 22, 2008 in the Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township, NJ.
Born in Elizabeth, NJ, November 6, 1929, daughter of the late Elmer and Mae Holste Fickenscher, she had resided in Neshanic Station since 1955.
A Teacher, she had formerly taught in Franklin Township, Somerset County, NJ and in East Amwell Township, NJ.
A member of the Colver Hill Reformed Church, Clover Hill, NJ, Mrs. Amerman was also a former Cub Scout Den Mother.
Her husband, David W. Amerman, Jr., died in 1998.
Surviving are a daughter, Patricia Amerman of Neshanic Station, NJ; two sons, James Amerman of Frenchtown, NJ and D. Richard Amerman of Milford, NJ; and two sisters, Barbara Page of Mountain Lakes, NJ and Nancy Jauch of Denville, NJ.
Graveside Services will be held Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. in Neshanic Cemetery, Neshanic, NJ under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Please visit www.holcombefisher.com for further information or to send condolences.
