Joan F. Kent

Joan F. Kent, age 78 years, of Franklin Township, Hunterdon County, NJ, died on Friday, July 10, 2009 at her residence.

Born in Bayonne, NJ, December 20, 1930, daughter of the late Reginald W. and Florence Marie Arnot Smith, she had resided in Franklin Township for sixty years.

Mrs. Kent was formerly employed by the NJ Department of the Treasury, Trenton, NJ from 1960-1965. She was also a homemaker.

A communicant of St. Catherine of Siena Church, Pittstown, NJ, she was pre-deceased by her husband of forty-three years, Joel Richard Kent, Sr., who died in 2007.

Surviving are two daughters and sons-in-law, Denise and Glenn Campbell of Easton, PA, and Jami Lynn and James Keigler of Bridgewater, NJ; two sons and daughters-in-law, Joseph and Michele Tinnes, Sr. of Queen Creek, AZ, and Brian D. and Trish Kent of Ormond Beach, FL; a step-son, Joel and his wife Patty Kent, Jr. of Newtown, PA; eight grandchildren: Gary Wilson, Forrest Keigler, Shawn Cobb, Valerie Cobb, Joe Tinnes, Jr., Eric Tinnes, Joel Kent III and Andrew Kent; eleven great grandchildren; and her faithful pet, Piper.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday at 8:00 p.m. in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will be private.
