Joan H. Bennett

Joan H. Bennett, age 92 years, of Alexandria Township, NJ, died Tuesday, April 27, 2021 at her home. Born in Grand Rapids, MI, September 26, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Frank Rudolph and Bernice Cooper Hierholzer. Joan was an artist all her life and worked mainly as a book illustrator. She was known for her award-winning portraits and landscapes using acrylics, oil, and watercolors. In fact, she was even commissioned to paint a mural at the Kennedy Space Center. Surviving are her two children, David Bennett of Marana, AZ and Charles Bennett of Asheville, NC; one sister, Diane Grant of Austin, TX and long-time companion, Robert L. Lentz of Pittstown, NJ. Funeral services will be private under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ.
