Joan M. Schneider

Joan M. Schneider, age 80 years, of Sergeantsville, NJ, died on Friday, September 29, 2017 in Crestview Center, Langhorne, PA.

Born in Trenton, NJ, December 5, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Marion Yeager Lane. She lived most of her life in Sergeantsville.

Mrs. Schneider worked for the Delaware Township School as a cafeteria aide and school bus driver. Joan spent most of her working life as a Rural Mail Carrier for the Stockton, NJ Post Office, and later worked at Princeton Audi Volkswagen.

She was a member of the Delaware Township Senior Citizens and Flemington Elks Lodge #1928.

Her husband, Charles “Bunny” Schneider, died in 1993. Surviving are a daughter, Rev. Marianne Lane-Noreika, of Warrington, PA; her sons, Charles Schneider of Upper Black Eddy, PA, and Michael Schneider of Delaware Township, NJ; her sisters, Peggy Bodnar of Bordentown, NJ, Dori Lane of Vancouver, WA, and Marion “Junior” McLaughlin of Groveville, NJ; a brother, John Lane, of Lambertville, NJ; ten grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 3, 2017 at 11 AM in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will be in Rosemont Cemetery, Rosemont, NJ. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 9:30- 11 AM in the funeral home.
