Joaquin Matias Vargas

Joaquin M. Vargas, age 84 years, of Kingwood Township, NJ, died on Sunday, August 14, 2011, in the Rolling Hills Care Center, Clinton Township, NJ.

Born in Rincon, Puerto Rico, he was the son of the late Justo Vargas Silva and Maria Matias Gomez.

His wife, Maria, died in 2008. Surviving are his daughter and son-in-law, Sylvia and Ronald Uriguen of Kingwood Township, NJ; a sister, Margarita Lorenzo of Brooklyn, NY; and three grandchildren: Samantha and Scott Uriguen, and Eli Vargas.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will be in Monte Cristo Memorial Park, Aguadilla, Puerto Rico.
