John A. Pribula III, age 47 years, of Holland Township, NJ, died on Saturday, May 31, 2008, at his home after a courageous two year battle with pancreatic cancer.
Born in Perth Amboy, NJ, December 27, 1960, he was the son of John and Theresa Pribula of Edison, NJ. He had resided in Holland Township since 1998.
John was a 1979 graduate of St. Thomas Aquinas High School, Edison, NJ, and in 2003 became President of Edison Supply and Equipment Company, a funeral supply distribution company throughout the United States.
John was in tune with nature and loved the forestry program and especially his seven cats. He was an avid bowler, NASCAR fan, and bicycling enthusiast. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus.
Surviving, in addition to his parents, are his beloved wife, Wendy; a sister and brother-in-law, Judy and Jerry Gordon of Hoover, AL; a stepdaughter, Shannon Yockel of Cinnaminson, NJ; a stepson and daughter-in-law, Philip and Saraday Yockel of Raymond, NH; two grandchildren, Madilyn and Abigail of Raymond, NH; and a niece, Sarah, and nephews, Jared and Jacob all of Hoover, AL.
A Memorial Service will be held on Friday at 2 PM in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will be private. There will be no calling hours.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hunterdon Hospice or the Hunterdon Regional Cancer Center, both at 2100 Wescott Drive, Flemington, NJ 08822.
