Roell, age 53, died Sunday, January 23, 2022 at Robert Wood Johnson University – Somerset. Born June 22, 1968 in Cincinnati, Ohio, John was the son of the late Michael George Roell and Mary Ann Hawk Roell. He has been a resident of Hunterdon County since age of 2. John graduated from North Hunterdon Regional High School and then received his Bachelors Degree in Computer Science from Rider College (now Rider University) in Lawrenceville NJ. He was an Information Technology Support Consultant for Accenture in Florham Park NJ. John’s hobbies included his saltwater fish tanks, and listening to his favorite hard-rock music. His favorite bands included KISS, AC/DC, Metallica, Bon Jovi, and most recently, Liliac. He enjoyed an occasional trip to various Atlantic City casinos to play poker and black jack. In his youth, John played baseball and lacrosse, and loved a good game of volleyball or billiards with his family and friends. John enjoyed watching sports on TV, his favorites included professional baseball, football, or a NASCAR race. But most importantly, spending time with his family gave him the most joy. John is survived by his wife of 28 years, Lori Strawser Roell, his three daughters, Alexis Makensie Roell, Carlee Alyssa Roell and Chloee Madison Roell, his brother, William Roell and wife, Julie Luster-Roell, his mother-in-law, Alice Strawser, his brother-in-law, John Strawser Jr. and his wife, Tracy Strawser, his former sister-in-law, Kerry Roell, nine nieces and nephews and nine great nieces and nephews. Funeral service for John will be private and live-streamed at 12:00 noon on Saturday, January 29, 2022. The private service will be live-streamed by Clicking Here .
