John A. Koches, beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, age 76 years, of Kingwood Township, NJ, died on Monday, July 5, 2010, at his home.
Born in Trenton, NJ, May 6, 1934, he was the son of the late John M. and Olga Kovrine Koches.
Mr. Koches retired after thirty-five years of service as an hydraulic pipefitter from General Motors, Ewing, NJ, and later from CMMC, Flemington, NJ.
He was a United States Navy veteran serving on the USS Intrepid and was an avid hunter, target shooter and fisherman.
Surviving are his wife of fifty-five years, Shirley Chiorello Koches; three daughters, Lynn Noordzy and husband Keith of Myakka City, FL , Sharon Koches of Wilmington, NC, and Michelle Koches and Greg Walker of Milford, NJ; two sons, John Koches and his wife Dawn of Frenchtown, NJ, and Kevin Koches and his fiance, Laurie Baack of Seward, NE; six grandchildren: Keith Noordzy, Kimberly Domenech, Erik Noordzy, Shelby Koches, Hallie Koches, and Logan Walker; and two great-grandchildren, William Antonio Domenech and Gionni Domenech.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday at 8PM in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will be private. Calling hours will be held on Saturday from 6-8 PM in the funeral home.
