John Charles Bally, Sr., age 71 years, of East Amwell Township, NJ, died on Thursday, April 2, 2009 at his residence.
Born in Plainfield, NJ, March 2, 1938, son of the late Julian and Caroline Sprigg Bally, he had resided in East Amwell Township for the past twenty-three years, having previously lived in Whitehouse Station, NJ and South Plainfield, NJ.
A veteran of the United States Air Force, Mr. Bally was retired from Macy's, East Brunswick, NJ where he worked for over twenty-seven years as a Boiler Engineer.
He was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church, Flemington, NJ.
Surviving are his wife of forty-eight years, Brenda Painter Bally; a son and daughter-in-law, Jack and Mary Bally, Jr. of Mullica Hill, NJ; a daughter and son-in-law, Janette and Jack Thompson of Hillsborough, NJ; a daughter, JoAnn Sackett of Northampton, PA; a brother, Julian "Gene" Bally of Flemington, NJ; and six grandchildren, Danny and Henry Bally, Jessica and Jack Thompson and Stephen and Kaitlyn Sackett.
Funeral Services will be held Sunday at 4:00 p.m. in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will be private.
