In addition to his wife, he leaves behind his sister, Diane Frisoli Nolan, three children, John D. Frisoli III, Pamela Frisoli and Adam V. Frisoli, and a granddaughter, Charlotte Frisoli. Mr. Frisoli was predeceased by another son, Peter.
Visitation will take place on Friday, August 28th, from 3 pm to 5 pm and 7 pm to 9 pm at Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ 08822.
A memorial service will be held the following day on Saturday, August 29th, 10:30am at The Church of St. Mary’s Abbey on the campus of Delbarton School, 230 Mendham Road, Morristown, NJ.
John was born in Newark, NJ and grew up in Short Hills, NJ. He graduated from Delbarton School in 1961 and Georgetown University, Washington, D.C. in 1965, continuing on to earn his MBA at American University.
After college, John entered the family business, Scientific Models, Inc., founded by his father, John D. Frisoli, Sr. In 1983 he started a daughter company, Micro-Mark, Inc., which specializes in small tools for hobbyists and craftsmen and still thrives today.
John was a gifted technician and mechanic as well as an accomplished woodworker. He and Sandra spent decades restoring their historical home, the Hoffman equestrian farm along the South Branch of the Raritan River. John invented many of the tools and devices sold under the Micro-Mark name in his impressive home workshop built within the farm’s former stables.
John was a member of the Riverside Wine Tasters Group, La Chaîne des Rôtisseurs, Delta Phi Epsilon, and The Sarasota Yacht Club, among others. He was an avid classic car aficionado. His collection included several antique automobiles, some of which he painstakingly restored himself.
John was a loving husband, father and grandfather. His joie de vivre, kind heart and infectious laugh will be dearly missed.
