John E. Rynearson Sr., 74, of Ringoes died Saturday (July 10, 1999) at his home. A life-long resident of Ringoes, he was born April 28, 1925, son of the late Clarence E. and Rita Gordon Rynearson.
He had worked in the natural gas fields in Pennsylvania where he flew aircraft to the West Coast for natural gas companies. He then was employed as a foreman for General Motors Corp in Trenton. Later, he was employed by Mannon Excavating Co. in Flemington. For 20 years, he was the assistant road foreman for East Amwell Township until retiring. He also owned and operated Furrows End Farm, Ringoes, and continued to farm while holding his other jobs.
He was a communicant of St. Magdalen Church, Flemington; a member of the Amwell Valley Fire Co. since 1954 and was a member of the Frenchtown Bowling League until 1994.
Surviving are his wife of 46 years, Helen Liskowacki Rynearson; a son, John E. Rynearson Jr. of Ringoes; a daughter, Terri E. Mitchell of Flemington; a brother, Fred Rynearson of Stockton; four grandchildren, one great-granddaughter and six nephews. A sister, Devena Conard, died in 1995.
A funeral liturgy was held in St. Magdalen Church, 105 Mine St., Flemington. Interment will be in Union Cemetery, Ringoes.
Calling hours were held at Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main St. Flemington.
