John H. Brownell, age 79 years, of Readington Township, NJ, died on Friday, April 27, 2012 at his home.
Born in Bristol, NY, November 26, 1932, son of the late Reginald and Josephine Dunlop Brownell, he had resided in Readington since 1960, having formerly lived in Reaville, NJ.
He was a service technician for thirty-eight years with Elizabethtown Gas, Flemington, NJ, retiring in 1994.
A United States Air Force veteran of the Korean War, stationed in Germany, he was a longtime member of the Flemington United Methodist Church and a member of the Flemington American Legion Post #159. Additionally, he was a former Cub Scout and 4-H Club leader.
Surviving are his wife of fifty-seven years, Aletha Stone Brownell; two sons, John B. Brownell and his wife, Shujuan Liu, of Plainfield, NJ and Jeff Brownell and his wife, Lisa, of Riegelsville, PA; a daughter, Sandra Hubert of Crystal Beach, NY; a daughter-in-law, Ginger Brownell of Flemington, NJ; a sister, Ruth Crouse of Shortsville, NY; and six grandchildren, Casey, Samantha, Sidni and Savannah Brownell, Nicole Hubert and Robert Hubert.
