John H.C. Bye, age 86 years, of Lambertville, NJ, formerly of Raritan Township, NJ, died on Tuesday, September 16, 2008, at his residence.
Born in New york City, NY, August 26, 1922, he was the son of the late Herbert and Stella Fonner Bye. He had formerly lived in Little Falls, NJ.
He had formerly owned and operated a service station in Little Falls, NJ, and then was a farmer in Raritan Township, NJ for over thirty years.
He was a United States Navy veteran of World War II, and a member of the Cadillac Club of America.
His wife, Marilynn Brownlee Bye, died in 1996. Surviving are two daughters; Laura Angle of Mountaintop, PA, and Pamela Bye-Erts of Clinton Township, NJ; two sons; John H.C. Bye, Jr., of Cummington, MA, and David Bye of Clinton Township, NJ; and six grandchildren: Daniel Bye, Taylor Bye, Naomi Bye, Shane Angle, Michael Svoboda, and Jeff Svoboda.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday at 2 PM in the Calvary Episcopal Church, Broad Street and New York Avenue, Flemington, NJ, under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Flemington, NJ. There will be no calling hours.
