John J. Graper, of East Amwell Township, NJ, passed away at home on Wednesday, February 2, 2022.
Born in Pequannock, NJ, September 5, 1960, he was the son of the late Richard S. and Arlene (Schember) Graper. John grew up in Pequannock and moved to Ringoes in 1969. He was a technical service cad setup specialist at Specified Technologies, Inc.
John played little league baseball, was a Boy Scout and a member of the Lyndhurst Elks Lodge #1505. John, referred by friends as Honda John, was an avid motorcycle rider who’s blasting stereo could be heard prior to his arrival and he enjoyed riding with the group Mid-Atlantic Mob that called themselves family. John enjoyed car racing and was known as “Uncle Johnny Shortcut”.
Surviving are his siblings, Joseph (Sally) Graper of Virginia, Richard Graper of East Amwell Township, NJ, Deborah (Phil) Keyes of Readington Township, NJ, Laura (Lincoln) Karnoff of Raritan Township, NJ, Kathy Graper of Lawrenceville, NJ, Kim Bragg of Raritan Township, NJ and Jennifer (Bryan) Antley of Ft. Mill, SC. Also surviving are ten nieces and nephews, Robert Keyes (Sam), Daniel Keyes (Becky), Max Finch, Katie Finch, Jeffrey Karnoff, Alexis Bragg, Christopher Bragg, Marissa Bragg, Nathaniel Antley and Nicholas Antley and seven great nieces and great nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday, February 7, 2022, at 10:00 AM in St. Alphonsus Church, 54 E. Prospect St., Hopewell, NJ 08525. Burial next to his parents will follow in Highland Cemetery, N. Greenwood Ave., Hopewell, NJ. Calling hours will be Sunday, February 6, 2022, 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ.
