John "Jack" Clemens

John Michael “Jack” Clemens, age 68 years, of Franklin Township, Hunterdon County, NJ passed away on Tuesday, January 7, 2020 in the Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township, NJ. Born in Cedar Knolls, NJ, July 28, 1951, he was the son of the late Charles and Kathleen Strunck Clemens. Jack grew up in Morris County and was a retired diesel mechanic. Jack moved to Pittstown, NJ in 1994 and married Kathleen Fell Clemens in 1996. He was an avid fisherman all his life and he met his wife while fishing in Orient Point, Long Island. The two went on to enjoy fishing and boating at the Jersey Shore for many years. He was an animal lover and rescued many cats over the years. Jack was a gentle soul with a kind heart and will be missed by all who loved him. Jack was predeceased by a brother, Arthur Clemens, and a sister, Judith Harsell. In addition to his wife, Kathy, of 24 years, he is survived by his stepson and daughter-in-law, Scott and Janice Hoppe; his six siblings: Eugene Clemens, Donald Clemens, Thomas Clemens, Kitty Ferrante, Marie Rycyk, and Margaret Clemens; three grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, January 18, 2020 at Noon in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will be in Mechanicsville Cemetery, Mechanicsville, PA. Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 18, 2020 from 11am until time of service in the funeral home.
