John Konn

John Konn, age 65 years, of Readington Township, NJ, died on Friday, March 23, 2012 in Somerset Medical Center, Somerville, NJ.

Born in Jersey City, NJ, June 23, 1946, he was the son of the late John and Helen Konn. He then grew up in Bayonne, NJ.

He was a pipe fitter with Plumbing and Pipe Fitters Local #9 of Central New Jersey.

John loved trains and was a longtime volunteer with the Black River & Western Railroad. He enjoyed traveling and had been to all fifty states. He was a very accepting and non judgemental person who loved animals and the outdoors.

Surviving are his wife, Karen Konn, and a brother, Gerald Konn, of Bayonne, NJ: his niece, Alexis Konn; and a nephew, Gerry Konn of Bayonne, NJ.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will be private.
