John Paul Hrubesh, age 83 years, of Readington Township, NJ, died on Wednesday, October 27, 2010, at his home.
He was born in Western PA, to his father, John and Emily his mom. He and his family relocated to New Jersey and he graduated Bound Brook High School, before moving to the farm in Readington in 1947.
For fifty-three years, he worked at Maplehurst Dairy, delivering milk and assisting with the farm work. After work he would work at his own farm where he raised crops and livestock, including his beloved beef cows.
He belonged to the Stanton Reformed Church and the Stanton Grange where he had served as master previously.
He was a bachelor for life, but still had a close family. He is survived by his sister-in-law Carol Hrubesh of Flemington, nephew James Hrubesh of Blakeslee, Pa. and neice Barbara Hrubesh of Presque Isle, Me. also 6 grand-nephews and neices; James S. Hrubesh of Flemington, Amy Thompson of Atlanta, Ga., Carrie Hunt and Ryan Hunt of Austin, Tx., and Nikki Hunt and Meagan Hunt of Presque Isle, Me.
A Memorial Service will be held on Wednesday, November 3, 2010 at 6 PM in the Stanton Reformed Church, Stanton, NJ under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Burial will be private in Newell Cemetery, Stanton, NJ. There will be no calling hours.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hunterdon Hospice, 2100 Wescott Drive, Flemington, NJ 08822 in appreciation for their comfort and care during his final days.
