John W. Jackson, age 79 years, of Raritan Township, NJ, died on Thursday, February 11, 2010 in the University Medical Center at Princeton, Princeton Borough, NJ.

Born in Bloomsburg, PA, February 11, 1931, son of the late George and Anna Blair Jackson, he had formerly resided in Stanton, NJ before moving to Raritan Township in 2009.

He was Supervisor of Parking Operations for Princeton Borough until retiring. A former member of the New Jersey National Guard, Mr. Jackson was an avid archer and also taught archery to others.

He was a former Elder of the Nassau Presbyterian Church, Princeton, NJ.

Surviving are his wife, Ruth Amerman Jackson; two daughters, Kathy Jackson of Raritan Borough, NJ and Debbie Arcaro of Belle Mead, NJ; and two grandchildren, Brian Jackson and Sam Arcaro.

A son, Jonathan Jackson, died in 2008.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 11:00 a.m. in the Stanton Reformed Church, Stanton, NJ followed by private interment in Newell Cemetery, Stanton, NJ under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ.
