Joseph Anthony Zak,Sr., of Raritan Township, NJ, died on Wednesday, June 29, 2005 in the Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township, NJ.
Born in Brooklyn, NY, April 20, 1938, he was the son of the late Carl and Julie Korap Zakrzewski. He had resided in Hunterdon County, NJ most of his life.
Mr. Zak was a well known automobile mechanic, and was the owner of Zak's Alignment, Inc., Three Bridges, NJ, until his retirement in 2001. He was a graduate of Flemington High School.
He was pre-deceased by two brothers; Ronald Zak in 1989, and Edward Zakrzewski in 2004. Surviving are his wife, Carolee Voorhees Zak; a daughter and son-in-law, Pamela and George Campbell of Union Township, NJ; a son and his fiancee, Joseph Anthony Zak, Jr. and Nancy Smith of Delaware Township, NJ; a granddaughter, Rachel Heckert of Easton, PA; his mother-in-law, Carol Voorhees of Raritan Township, NJ; his borther-in-law and sister-in-law, Arthur and Toni Voorhees of Vero Beach, FL and many nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 10 AM in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will be in Rural Hill Cemetery, Whitehouse, NJ. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM in the funeral home.
