Joseph B. Rinz, age 74 years, of Fredericksburg, VA, died on Friday, June 2, 2006 in Cobblestones at Fairmont Assisted Living, Manassas, VA.
Born in Hopewell, NJ, January 31, 1932, he had formerly resided in Flemington, NJ for fifty years and had resided in Fredericksburg three years.
A United States Army Veteran of the Korean War, Mr. Rinz was a mechanic with Bemis Bag Co., Flemington, NJ, retiring in 1994.
He was a member of the United Methodist Church, Frederickburg, VA as well as a former longtime member of the Flemington United Methodist Church, Flemington, NJ.
Additionally, Mr. Rinz was a member of the Flemington American Legion Post #159, Flemington, NJ and was a former member of the Flemington Elks Lodge, Flemington, NJ. He was a member of the Flemington Fire Department from 1955-1965, and was a member of it's Exempt Association.
Surviving are his wife of fifty-one years, Shirley Wilson Rinz; a daughter, Linda Hatton of Manassas, VA; two sons, James Rinz of University Heights, OH and William Rinz of Akron, OH; a sister, Josephine Ryba of Corsicana, TX; and six grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will follow in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Flemington, NJ.
