Joseph Francis Riccardi

Joseph Francis Riccardi, age 75 years, of Readington Township, NJ, died on Wednesday, December 8, 2004, at the Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township, NJ.

Born in New Rochelle, NY, November 24, 1929, he was the son of the late Michael and Betty Schneider Riccardi. He had resided in Readington Township, NJ since 1961.

He was formerly employed in sales and management with Johns-Manville Corp., Manville, NJ, retiring in 1983, but continued working as a self-employed financial planner until the time of his death.

He was a veteran of the United States Army serving from 1947-1950. He was the former Mayor of Readington Township. A communicant of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Three Bridges, NJ, he also served as a Eucharistic Minister. He was a former member of the Three Bridges Fire Company. He was a member of Elks Lodge #1928, Flemington, NJ, and of the Hunterdon County Republican Club.

Surviving are his wife, Frances Serra Riccardi; four daughters; Joyce Ann Riccardi, of Clinton, NJ, Janet Goldin, of Palm Harbor, FL, Mary E. Morrison, of Flemington, NJ, and Beth A. Riccardi, of Readington Township, NJ; a son, Michael F. Riccardi, of Palm Harbor, FL; a sister, Mariana Riehl, of Glastonbury, CT; and four grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, December 11, 2004 at 11 AM in St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Summer Road, Three Bridges, NJ. Interment will be private in St. Magdalen Cemetery, Flemington, NJ. Calling hours will be held on Friday from 6-9 PM in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ.
