Joseph K. Dorio, age 58, of Delaware Township, NJ, died on Saturday, October 18, 2008 while on vacation in Marco Island, Fl.
Joe was a kind, generous, and loving man and will be missed by family, friends, and community.
Joe was born in Trenton the son of the late Helen Dorio and the recently deceased Michael Dorio and had resided in Delaware Township for the last 20 years.
Joe graduated from Hunterdon Central Regional High School, Flemington in 1968 and Trenton State College in 1972 and was the owner and operator of Nolde’s Pianos and Organs, Flemington, NJ, where he had worked since he was 20.
An avid fly fisherman, Joe was a musician in various local bands since the 1970s, including Fragile and The Shotguns. He had most recently reunited with Fragile who had a full schedule for the next year.
In addition to his parents, Joe was pre-deceased by a brother-in-law, Michael Feula in May, 2008.
Joe leaves behind the wife he made special for thirteen short years, Lynn Newsome Dorio; his son and best friend, Joe, Jr. of Allentown, Pa; three step-sons: Chris, Kevin, and Keith Seibel; a sister, Dianne Feula of Dover, NJ; a brother, Michael Dorio, Jr. of Boerne, TX; two grandchildren, Sara and Ryan Seibel; his step-mother, Betty Chance Dorio; numerous nieces and nephews; and his bouncy cat, Jake.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 11:30 a.m. in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Calling hours will be Thursday from 6:00-9:00 p.m. in the Funeral Home.
