Joseph “Joey” Paul Polosky passed away on November 16, 2024 in Flemington, NJ. Born on June 4, 1951, in Rahway, NJ, Joseph lived a life full of joy. For many years he lived in Middlesex County NJ before moving to Hunterdon County more than 20 years ago.
Joey worked many years doing final assembly work through Easter Seals and the Raritan Valley Workshop, where he made a meaningful impact through his commitment and diligence. A happy person by nature, Joseph was known for his warm smile and inquisitive outlook on life. He found joy in family celebrations and cherished vacations at Shawnee in the Poconos, creating countless memories with loved ones.
An accomplished bowler and Skee Ball player, Joey was an active member of several bowling leagues at the Woodbridge Lanes. He also had a deep affection for the beach, finding happiness in sharing favorite meals on the Point Pleasant boardwalk or at the Reo Diner in Woodbridge.
Joey's interests were diverse, ranging from watching classic movies like "Mighty Joe Young" and the iconic Godzilla and King Kong films to tuning in for Wheel of Fortune and relishing the humor of Popeye cartoons. He participated enthusiastically in Polka Sundays, delighting in the jovial spirit of gatherings and, of course, sharing laughter over "Who Stole the Keeshka?" His family fondly remembers the times spent on the bench swing, where he would share his accurate memories of dates, past and future, and engage in meticulous tasks like cutting the family lawn.
Joey leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and the beautiful memories shared with his family and friends. He will be dearly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him. Joey was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph A. Polosky and Irene (Juzwick) Polosky and brother in law, Jerry Klymec, who instilled in him the values of hard work and love for family. He is survived by his loving sister, Catherine Klymec of Kingwood Township, NJ; his nephew and spouse, Adam and Denise Klymec of Raritan Township, NJ; and his niece, Candace Klymec of Flemington Borough, NJ, as well as an extended family and friends.
