Joseph S. Kirchner

Joseph Sebastian Kirchner, age 75 years, of New Jersey, passed away on Monday, April 25, 2022. Born in Schweinfurt, Germany on January 20, 1947, he was the son of the late Georg and Maria (Schneider) Kirchner. While completing his post-graduate studies, he had a successful soccer career culminating in playing for the FC Kickers of Wuerzburg in the 2nd Bundesliga. He then transformed his passion into a career in sports merchandising. Originally working for Adidas, he later started his own companies, including Apex One. When not working, Joseph could be found rooting for his favorite team in nearly every sport. Joseph was known for his loyalty, generosity, sense of adventure, creativity, and fun. Surviving are his three children, Julia, Christopher, and Dominik Kirchner, and his older siblings Robert Kirchner and Else Weisel. His remains will be interred in his family plot in Zeil, his hometown in Germany, in the coming weeks.
