Joseph T. Peake

Joseph T. Peake, age 61 years, of Croton, NJ (Delaware Township), died Sunday, October 8, 2023, at his home.

Born in Kearny, NJ, August 31, 1962, to the late Edward Paul Peake, a first generation Irish American and to Bernadette Mary Ward of Downpatrick, County Down, Northern Ireland.

He was raised in Colonia, NJ. After high school, Joe attended DeVry Institute in Edison, NJ. Upon graduating, Joe worked for the County of Middlesex, NJ as a computer support analyst until his retirement in 2021.

He also served with the Air Force National Guard for several years.

He was predeceased by his parents and one brother, Thomas Edward Peake of NJ. At the age of 19, when Edward Peake died, Joe took on responsibilities as father to two young boys.

He is survived by an older brother, Stephen M. Peake and his wife, Carol of NJ, Stephen's daughter, Jennifer Cuypers, of NJ, his sister, Donna Cyphers, her son, Nicholas Cyphers and wife Danielle Cyphers and their daughter, Norah, a sister, Kimberly Peake of NY, a younger brother, Jeffrey Peake of NJ, and beloved niece, Jill Askew, of Troy, NY.

Lastly, he leaves behind many dear cousins, friends, neighbors and co-workers with whom he maintained strong bonds and relationships. He will be missed as brother, uncle, confidant, neighbor and friend.
