Josephine A. Upton

Josephine A. Upton, age 75 years, of Raritan Township, NJ, beloved wife of Charles E. Upton, died Wednesday, February 11, 2015, in Methodist Specialty and Transplant Hospital, San Antonio, TX. Born in Brooklyn, NY, November 2, 1939, daughter of the late Thomas Barletta and Catherine Oliver, she had resided in Raritan Township, NJ since 1973. She was a library aide with the Flemington-Raritan School System until retiring. Josie was a member of the Auxiliary of Flemington Elks Lodge #1928 and was a volunteer at the Consignment Shop, Flemington, NJ. Surviving, in addition to her husband, are her son, George Upton and his wife, Linda, and grandson, Kyle, of Flemington, NJ. Also surviving are two stepsons, Kim Upton of Nevada, Iowa, and Kent Upton and his wife, Sherry, of West Lafayette, IN, and two granddaughters, Kelsey and her husband Kevin of Zionsville,IN., and Katy and her husband Patrick of Chicago, IL; and three great grandchildren, Hallie, Colin and Connor. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, February 24, 2015, at 6:30 PM in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Calling hours will be Tuesday 4:00-6:30 PM at the funeral home. Following the funeral service, all are invited to a gathering to celebrate Josephine's life at the Flemington Elks, 165 Route 31, Flemington, NJ.
