Josephine Astorino, age 79 years, of Raritan Township, NJ, died on Monday, January 17, 2011 in the Hunterdon Care Center, Raritan Township, NJ.

Born In Newark, NJ, September 5, 1931, daughter of the late Frederick and Elizabeth Paduano D’Addario, she had resided most of her life in Cedar Grove, NJ before moving to Raritan Township in 1990.

A graduate of Irvington High School, she owned and operated Point of Order Marketing and Advertising Company.

A former longtime communicant of St. Catherine’s Church, Cedar Grove, NJ, Mrs. Astorino was currently a communicant of St. Magdalen Church, Flemington, NJ. She was an active volunteer there, serving as a CCD Teacher and was involved with many other church programs. She enjoyed mystery novels, crossword puzzles, sewing and gardening.

Surviving are her husband of fifty-nine years, Arthur Astorino; three daughters, Gail Ziegenfuss of Flemington, NJ, Ellen Moretti of Cedar Grove, NJ and Patti Cucci of Flemington, NJ; two sons, Arthur Astorino, Jr., MD of Laguna Hills, CA and Stephen Astorino of Carlsbad, CA; a sister, Angela Litts of Plainfield, IN; and nine grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. in St. Magdalen Church, 105 Mine Street, Flemington, NJ under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Everyone is asked to meet directly at the church on Saturday morning. Entombment will follow in St. Magdalen Mausoleum, Flemington, NJ.
