Joyce Ella Serridge

Joyce E. Serridge, age 83 years, of Raritan Township, NJ, died on Saturday, August 6, 2011, in the Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township, NJ.

Born in Readington Township, NJ, July 12, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Alexander Rockafellow and Edith Matilda Case Kline. She was a lifelong resident of Hunterdon County.

She and her late husband formerly owned and operated the Three Bridges Tavern.

She was a member of the Three Bridges Reformed Church, the East Amwell Seniors, Grandview Grange, and American Legion Post #159 Ladies Auxiliary.

Her husband, Robert Joseph Serridge, Sr., died in 1995. Surviving are two sons and daughters-in-law, Robert Joseph "Skip" and Patti Serridge, Jr. of Flemington, NJ, and William and Mary Ann Serridge of Salem, SC; three daughters and sons-in-law, Sally and Mathew Markert of Croton, NJ, Sharon and Stephen Dean of Somerville, NJ, and Margaret and Vincent Corsentino of Bethlehem Township, NJ; eleven grandchildren; and one great-grandson.

Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday at 2:30 PM in the Three Bridges Reformed Church, Main Street, Three Bridges, NJ. Interment will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Flemington, NJ. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 7-9 PM and Wednesday from 12:30-1:30 PM in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ.
