Judith A. Fennell, age 84 years, of Flemington, NJ passed away Sunday, January 5, 2025, at the Hunterdon Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Somerville, NJ, December 8, 1940, daughter of the late Clifford and Bessie Miller Hanna, Judy was a lifelong resident of Hunterdon County. In her youth, she was actively engaged at the Centerville Methodist church and was also a member of the Cushetunk 4-H Club.
Judy was a 1959 graduate of Hunterdon Central High School, Flemington, NJ and New Brunswick Secretarial School.
Judy was a dedicated mom and skilled bookkeeper who was famously known for her hugs as she greeted people.
Judy was a respected pillar in her community. Her walk with Jesus began in the early 60s at a Billy Graham crusade. She grew into a devoted follower and servant of Jesus Christ, whose wish for all was to become saved through the blood of Christ. Her dedication to the Lord’s teaching bestowed an unwavering ability to judge no one and to always give love even if none was expected back. Upon her passing, she was a loved member of the Body of Christ Ministries in Glen Gardner and attended Heritage Baptist Church in Flemington.
Her greatest desire was to see everyone saved and serving the Lord. That desire continues as she awaits to greet us in Heaven with her warm hugs. She wants everyone to know that you are a valued child of God, always worthy of forgiveness and redemption no matter the circumstances. Throughout her Earthly journey, she never judged or spoke ill of anyone and looked past all wrongdoings as she bestowed her persistent love. This ministry brought many to the Lord and brought foundational, positive change in the countless lives she touched. She was a true vessel of God’s love and her legacy will live on in us, our families, our children and their children.
Judy was pre-deceased by her husband, William Fennell, who died in 2006, and three brothers, Jerry, Tom, and David Hanna.
Surviving are a daughter and son-in-law, Bette (Brock) and Bruce Donah of Bethlehem, PA; a son and daughter-in-law, Keith and Rebecca Brock of Spring Lake, NC; six grandchildren Keith, Jr., Courtney, Karisa, Kelly, Tristan, and Katie and three great grandchildren, Kensington, Karter, and Everett. She is also survived by three brothers, Mark Hanna (wife Bonnie) of Flemington, NJ, John “Jack” Hanna (wife Mary Lou) of Mt. Bethel, PA and Doug Hanna (wife Carrol) of Springville, IA.
