Julia Shepherd

Julia Shepherd, age 86 years, of Raritan Township, NJ, died on Monday, January 24, 2005 at Independance Manor, Raritan Township, NJ where she resided.

Born in Flemington, NJ, July 18, 1918, daughter of the late Charles and Helen Fodi Fabian, she had resided in Flemington all her life.

Mrs. Shepherd was employed by NJ Telephone Company, Flemington, then by Readington Township School Transportation, then by Eaton Corp., Raritan Township, NJ and lastly by Flemingtoon Cut Glass Co. She was also a volunteer at the Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township, NJ.

Surviving are two sons, William Shepherd of Glendale, AZ and Thomas Shepherd of Flemington, NJ; two sisters, Helen Gibbs of Riverton, NJ and Ann Kurz of Charlotte, NC; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services will take place Saturday at 11 a.m. in St. Paul Lutheran Church, 201 State Route 31, Flemington, NJ, where she was also a member. Interment will follow in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Flemington, NJ. Calling hours will be on Friday from 7-9 p.m. at the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ.
