Julie A. Wielenta, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 20, 2024, at Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township, NJ, after sharing 97 years of love with family and friends. Born May 30, 1927, in Bound Brook, NJ, she was the daughter of the late Sebastian and Agnes (Koziol) Kuzniar. In 1946, after graduating high school, she married Justyn T. Wielenta and took her roots to Hunterdon County, NJ, where she lived on the Wielenta farm, embodying the role of the quintessential farmer's wife, for nearly 80 years.

Her commitment to her family was evident not only in her work within the home, but also in her warm, nurturing presence to her family. A communicant of Saint Alphonsus Catholic Church in Hopewell, NJ, Julie found solace and strength in her faith. She also enjoyed her pastimes immensely, embracing hobbies such as sewing, latch hooking, playing cards, and the joyous tradition of polka dancing on Saturday nights. These moments of happiness and creativity were a testament to her vibrant spirit.
Julie was predeceased by her beloved husband of 44 years, the late Justyn Wielenta, whom she did everything with. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Julie Wielenta; her son, Justin Wielenta; and her sisters, Angela Klapansky and Sophie Cvetan.
Julie's legacy lives on through her children—Carol Jennus (Darryl), Catherine Shipman (David), and Ronald Wielenta (Joan)—who carry forward the values she instilled in them.
